At the end of year, with only a few days to spare for the holidays, my hubby and I managed to squeeze in a mini road trip from Sydney to Melbourne. It was our first trip as newlywed couple and our last hurrah for the eventful 2011.
Instead of checking in at a fancy hotel or resort for our honeymoon, we found ourselves traipsing around the Parliament House in Canberra, hiking in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, paragliding over the Victorian Alps and welcoming the New Year in Melbourne.
We drove inland to avoid the crowded coast on the way to Melbourne. It was a short trip but we were able to rack up some exciting highlights. We could have spent the whole week at Mt. Kosciuszko National Park alone. But that calls for another trip, perhaps in winter when the skiing season kicks off.
Here’s a short video clip of our road trip.
Welcome back to the blogosphere! Yihee, hubby na tawag kay Charles ;p
hahaha thanks, that’s only online, I usually introduce him as my ex-fiance

Yep, it’s clean, we dug it up from underneath the pile of dirt
nax! 1st of many roadtrips as husband and wife
Really cool video! What a good idea!
we also did a similar trip. unfortunately, we didn’t have much funds then and went by train instead. starting from brisbane to sydney to blue mountains to sydney to canberra and finally to melbourne. returning to brisbane still by train, ha ha ha. it took us 2 weeks to cover the four states/territory. our daughter rode free then as she was just 4 years old. i don’t think i would want to do that trip again, he he he
Wow, that’s an epic trip, we didn’t spend much on this trip really. We camped at national parks (which was cheap), cooked our own meals and except for paragliding, everything we did was free… Our main expenses was the car rental/airfare on the way back to Sydney
It’s really nice to travel with our spouse. Welcome then to the couple’s world Claire.

Hi Claire! Just saw the video! awesome! ayos na ayos. anong video editor na gamit mo? hehehe.
Australia, naway mapuntahan din kita!
I used one of the presets of Imovie. It’s easy, you just need to add the video clips and do a bit of trimming. (Anyway, with Cebu Pacific soon flying here, I’m sure Australia will be one of your next destinations Ed)
