Burdeos is my hometown and I can compare it with Boracay, only much, much better because there are no crouds and no tourists. If you need to reload yourself because of all the stress around you, this is the right place to go.
It is possible to go there from Manila, I'm not sure where the terminal is but i think from Legarda bus or you call it FX station to Real Quezon/ Infanta Quezon(bet. 150-200/person). From Real Quezon, you have to travel 5 hrs. by boat (P150/person) then, take a jeepney (P150/person) to Burdeos town. From there you can rent a motorboat to explore the islands around Burdeos. There is a B&B available in the town proper but don't expect a 5 star hotel quality....at least it good enough as a shelter during the night. There are also a few karenderias where you can enjoy a local food and bottled drinks.
You can also go to Burdeos, Quezon from Lucena city. You have to leave from Lucena City at 2am and take your lunch in Burdeos. Don't forget to bring a swimming suit and sun cream, if you don't want to get sunburn!!!!! Ideal time to go there is during summer months. Have a nice time!!!!!

Claire,

You’re welcome. Hopefully I can visit Burdeos someday and see those beautiful white sands & blue water again. We got so much snow here in Denver the last few days and the temperature dips into below 6 F degree this morning, so those islands pictures look so inviting as an escape from this frozen tundra.

Thanks,

Same here, I have never heard of Polillo Group of Islands until I checked out the map for places to visit over the Holy Week vacation. It was a revelation.
