The sandbar of Manlawi Island in Caramoan, Camarines Sur was one of the most gorgeous sandbars I have seen around the Philippines. I wasn’t prepared for such stunning scenery when we first moored our boat off the shore. The water had receded for quite a distance revealing crystal clear waters and a vast stretch of rippling white sand. It was low tide during our visit, the perfect time to enjoy its sweeping sands and blue green waters.
Except for few small nipa huts, there wasn’t a single structure on the shore. It was pure nature – verdant rolling hills in the distance, an immense blue sky and a lovely seascape. So how do you enjoy a place like this other than swimming?
Have a Photoshoot
You know you want it. You can have you endless jump shots, rolling shots or even FHM shots. If you avoid the peak season, you can have the whole island as your own outdoor studio
Feel the sand. Walk barefoot. Enjoy as if you are walking on boundless shores.
It’s a great place to burn those calories you tend to acquire while traveling. Let’s get it on!
Burn those calories baby!
Build a sandcastle, play with the starfish, don’t think yet of the next destination. Slow down and have fun.
The island is a sun-worshippers’ paradise. Nothing to get between you and your tan.Just make sure you visit when it’s low tide and apply a good dose of sunscreen.
Eat and Drink
When everything fails, pigging out on the beach will not disappoint you. Bring out those fresh tropical fruits, grilled seafood and your DIY pina colada. Eat, drink and be merry.
Admire and be Inspired
